Hey! I'm Back!

It's been two years since my last post, and there's a reason for the silence.
Right after that post, I went on my first Disney cruise—possibly my last. What should have been a fun family trip turned into a nightmare. We all caught a stomach bug, but it hit me hardest. By the time I got to the hospital, I was in kidney failure with critically low potassium.
The week in the hospital was a blur. Four blown veins trying to get an IV in. So dehydrated and sleep-deprived that I sleepwalked and pulled out my IV—blood everywhere. Tests revealed bronchitis and the flu on top of everything else. At one point, I needed a blood transfusion. They drew blood constantly. I was too out of it for visitors, too weak to eat when my dad brought food.
They never figured out what caused the "infectious diarrhea," but eventually Imodium stopped it and everything started to stabilize. I was discharged, finally able to sleep uninterrupted in my own bed.
Then I came home to the aftermath. My house was a disaster—every towel and pair of pants I owned had been used. My energy was gone. My incredible dad sent his house cleaner over to do my laundry and clean my bathrooms. She was a godsend. Dad, thank you for being my rock.
I'd lost so much weight and was physically exhausted. As a single mom with a commission-only job and now hospital bills to manage, I knew I had to focus on getting back on my feet.
I had two humans who needed me. So I started building myself back: a walk outside, 20 minutes of yoga. That yoga practice became daily—my anchor. I committed to getting outside every single day, and I haven't missed one since.
Recovery took time, but I was determined. I focused on what I could control: movement, fresh air, showing up for my kids and my business.
And it worked. I'm back—stronger, healthier, and ready to dive back into the things I love: beautiful homes, dream destinations, and the wonderfully messy adventure of being a mom.
So thank you for being here. I've missed you. I've missed writing. And I'm ready to show up again.
Let's do this.
